Personal Training in the Pool

Because this particular workshop is a "one on one" session, it proves to be a great stepping stone for getting participants comfortable in the water, back in the game after injuries, Pre and Post Surgeries or Special Needs.

We give the instructors the information on how the participants apply for insurance reimbursement, (not something that the facility has to be responsible for). Health screening and fitness testing along with marketing the program through area physicians assist to expose what facilities have to offer and increases membership. Your instructor has become involved in marketing your facility because obviously the more students, the more revenue is realized.

Water Dance

A workshop I have taught for over 40 years that does not conflict with Zumba. According to the National Council on Aging, this is the number one requested class. A lot of our aging population grew up in the Swing, Shag, Jitterbug and Disco era" and would still love the opportunity to dance in a safer environment. Six various styles of dance movements are covered and they receive a workbook and CD breaking down each routine.

Water Fitness Medley

A great combination of high and moderate intensity training (HIIT and MIIT) allowing the participant a recovery time which typically pushes them to work a little harder. This includes games, inexpensive props, circuit stations and more. A very popular workshop.

Deep Water Workouts in a Shallow Water Pool

With just the use of a noodle, participants can enjoy the benefits of decompression of the spine, core stabilization and freedom of movement. True deep water can be used but everyone has the option. This allows the participant to learn to take both feet off the floor of the pool, how to recover to a vertical position, when they realize they can touch down at any time. Also comes with a workbook and CD

Yo/Chi

A unique combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Ai Chi. Depending on the temperature of the pool, this class can be scheduled "as is" or segments can be taught throughout a regular water aerobics class as an interval. Great for balance, core stabilization, strength, flexibility, martial arts and coordination with a big focus on correcting posture.

Routine Building

This workshop is highly recommended following a basic level certification for those that have trouble putting a class together. Covering all major components of endurance, strength and flexibility, we teach the instructor how to move from basic to complex patterns by discovering simple techniques of adding variety to basic movements by simply changing tempo, power and speed. This workshop is a great tool for working with various fitness levels within one class.
